Eligibility Criteria for NOU
- The minimum aggregate marks for an undergraduate degree are 45% for 10+2 and 40% for reserved categories for 10+2 graduates.
- For some courses like MBA/MCA, the student must have completed a bridge course or a relevant undergraduate degree with 45% marks (45% for reserved students).
- In order to qualify for a postgraduate diploma, a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree, or both are required based on the specialization
- Applicants for MPhils and PhDs must have a postgraduate degree with at least 55% marks and pass an entrance examination
- Two years’ work experience is required for MBA programs.
Admission Processes in Nalanda Open Universities
- Application forms must be submitted by the deadline for most UG and PG degrees. Academic scores are the only factor considered in this merit-based process.
- Universities conduct qualifying entrance tests for certain programs such as B.Ed and Ph.D.
- Diploma holders can also enter into allied UG programs directly in their second year via lateral entry schemes.
- There are two modes of application: online and offline.
Application Fees NOU
Most programs charge a fee of Rs 350 to 1000. Applicants who are female and belong to other reserved categories are eligible for a 25% discount on their application fee. In accordance with the most recent admission notification, forms are available between March and April.
